Northgate González Market Expands Online Delivery Options with Instacart

Hispanic supermarket chain Northgate González Market announced its partnership with Instacart to offer online grocery delivery service from 36 of its supermarkets in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Diego counties.

The new partnership between California’s leading family-owned Latino-themed supermarket chain with the leading U.S. online grocery delivery company seeks to offer more convenience to customers in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the company said in a statement.

“Northgate González Market is proud to partner with Instacart to provide additional buying options to our loyal customers,” said Mike Hendry, executive vice president of marketing and merchandising. “Given our company’s expanding and increasingly diverse customer profile, our partnership makes absolute sense as we continue to strive to provide our customers with excellence in customer service, diverse purchasing options, as well as an enhanced shopping experience.”

Northgate González Market customers will now have an additional option to purchase their favorite groceries and household items and have them delivered directly to their door.

According to the store chain, with Instacart customers will enjoy a completely new shopping option with a focus on the foods and flavors they are looking for: fresh, authentic Hispanic foods and flavors delivered with friendly, high-quality service.

“We know that individuals and families throughout Southern California are looking for convenient and reliable shopping options from the supermarkets that have been feeding our communities during this crisis. We are proud to partner with Northgate González Market, giving their customers access to the food they need from the stores they know and love. We recognize that delivery has become essential for many and we are dedicated to ensuring that our business partners can connect with their customers online during this time,” said Andrew Nodes, Vice President of Distribution for Instacart.

Northgate González Market customers can begin shopping through Instacart by visiting shop.northgatemarket.com, www.instacart.com/northgate-market, or from the Instacart application on their cell phone or any mobile device.

From there, customers can select their city, the Northgate González Market of their choice, and begin adding items to their Instacart shopping cart.

An Instacart Buying Assistant will select and deliver the order within the time frame designated by the customer: same day or, for convenient scheduling, up to two weeks in advance.

To ensure that customers can receive their deliveries safely and maintain social distancing guidelines, Instacart said all of its orders now default to “Leave at My Door Delivery”.

Founded in 1980 in Anaheim, California, Northgate González Market is a family-owned and operated Hispanic supermarket chain with 41 locations in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Diego counties.
