With the presence of 25 countries, 1,100 national and international exhibiting companies, and the attendance of some 37,000 visitors, the Expo ANTAD & Alimentaria Mexico 2022 trade show begins today in the city of Guadalajara, which is expected to generate more than 670 million dollars in sales during the three-day event.

In an area of 55,000 square meters at the Expo Guadalajara facilities, from May 16 to 19, companies will be presenting their products and services to meet the needs of a diversity of consumers with new demands and standards, said ANTAD president Vicente Yáñez at a press conference held on Monday.

Yáñez noted that consumer behavior and buying habits in the retail sector have changed since the pandemic. Expo ANTAD & Alimentaria Mexico 2022 will address this issue during the Keynote Conference, where Pablo Levy Covarrubias, Director of Research at UPAX, will speak on the New Style Traits of Consumption.

They have confirmed the presence of 85 U.S. companies and the attendance of 195 U.S. buyers seeking to bring Mexican products to the United States.

In addition to business meetings, the international forum will offer visitors alternative activities such as the Conference Program – #Retail Talks, which will take place in the Gourmet and Delicatessen Hall. More than 30 speakers will address digital transformation, supply chain, sustainability, media & marketing, logistics solutions, digital trends, and retail operations.
