Newark, New Jersey–The World of the Latino Cuisine Food Show will present a dynamic program at its exhibit floor, with culinary demonstrations by celebrity chefs, informative workshops and educational sessions, and enjoyable tastings during the Latin Food and Wine Festival.
The World of the Latino Cuisine food and beverage show, at the Meadowlands Expo Center, will feature the participation of the largest food and beverage distributors serving the Latino market in the United States, and exhibitors from Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Peru, Dominican Republic, Panama and Spain. The visiting companies are looking to expand by increasing their sales via the ever-growing Latino market in America.
The two-day show, August 24-25, 2016, is currently promoting its educational sessions. The sessions include master workshops by the faculty of the Rutgers Food Innovation Center, the FDA, USDA, and expert industry professionals. The sessions by Rutgers cover the new rules on food safety, and trends in technology for specialty, processed foods. United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) representatives will present on the new country of origin (COO) rules.
Expert presenters include Ricardo Bryan, Senior Vice President of Grace U.S.A/La Fe Products discussing Marketing and selling to the West Indies and Jamaican markets in the U.S.
“We are asking all those interested to register early, as the educational sessions are on a first-come, first served basis’, explained Bill Colón, lead officer of the World of the Latino Cuisine organization, “We want to accommodate everyone, and we are running educational sessions both days of the show”, added Mr. Colón.
The culinary demonstrations will be headlined by Fernando Desa, Goya’s Executive Chef, celebrity Chef Juancho Ortíz, a radio and TV personality in the Dominican Republic, and Chef Ronaldo Linares, author of the healthy-recipes book-endorsed by the American Diabetes Association- on classical Cuban cuisine, Sabores de Cuba.
As with the educational sessions, the culinary demonstrations are open to all in attendance. These sessions will not only include learning new recipes but will also include a book signing by celebrity Chef Ronaldo, as well.
This year the event will also feature the Latin Food & Wine Festival, as the “intermission” of the trade show. The festival will be held after 5:00 p.m. at the same location, on Wednesday, August 24th, and will include networking, food tastings of all the various Latino cuisines, wine and spirits, and cultural presentations.
