Cacique Panela Cheese is a delicious Curd Cheese similar to the Fresco one, but less crumbly. It is made from Grade A pasteurized milk from cows not treated with rBST hormones and is often used as stuffing or frying cheese. It finds its roots in the center of Mexico, where the cheese is molded in a basket and sold as “Basket Cheese”.
