Three Decades In, Americas Food and Beverage Show Keeps Growing

The Americas Food and Beverage Show turns 30 this year, and organizers are throwing a milestone celebration.

The Miami Beach Convention Center will host the anniversary edition September 14-16, 2026. According to a press release from World Trade Center Miami (WTCM), the event’s producer, this year’s show carries extra weight. Three decades of dealmaking sit behind it.

A Three-Decade Track Record

WTCM built the Americas Food and Beverage Show into a fixture for manufacturers, distributors, retailers, importers, exporters and buyers across the Americas. The organization says the show now draws more than 1,000 exhibitors and buyers from over 120 countries. Attendance tops 10,000 people annually, per WTCM’s release.

Those numbers reflect steady growth. The show started as a regional trade event decades ago.

It evolved into one of the industry’s most closely watched international gatherings. Small and medium-sized businesses have used the platform to break into new markets, WTCM says. Many grew from local brands into global players along the way.

That growth trajectory tracks with WTCM’s broader mission. The nonprofit organization, founded in 1971, has spent more than five decades facilitating international commerce out of Miami-Dade County, according to the World Trade Centers Association, of which WTCM is a member.

Leadership Reflects on the Milestone

Ivan Barrios, WTCM’s president and CEO, framed the anniversary as more than a celebration.

“This 30th anniversary is a milestone worth celebrating, but it’s also a reminder of why this show exists,” Barrios said in the WTCM press release. He added that the show has “stayed true to its mission of helping small and medium-sized businesses find real opportunities to grow internationally,” calling that mission more relevant now than ever.

Barrios has led WTCM through several editions of the show. He has previously described the event as a hub built to spark supplier connections and open new distribution channels for growing brands.

What’s New for the 2026 Edition

Organizers aren’t just looking backward. The 2026 Americas Food and Beverage Show will expand its programming alongside the nostalgia.

WTCM plans an enhanced Center Stage and Beverage Stage lineup this year. Both platforms typically feature product demonstrations, tastings and industry talks.

The conference program will also grow. New sessions will tackle tariffs, FDA compliance and international logistics, according to the release. Those topics carry particular urgency for food and beverage companies navigating cross-border trade right now.

Trade policy shifts and regulatory scrutiny have made compliance a moving target for importers and exporters alike. A dedicated conference track gives attendees a direct line to expert guidance on those pressures.

WTCM also teased special 30th anniversary programming and networking events. Details on those additions will roll out in the coming weeks, the release states.

Why the Show Matters for Retailers and Suppliers

The Americas Food and Beverage Show has long functioned as a launchpad. Small producers use it to meet buyers who might otherwise stay out of reach.

Retailers and distributors, in turn, get concentrated access to hundreds of suppliers under one roof. That efficiency explains much of the show’s staying power across 30 years.

The event has also adapted to broader shifts in the trade show industry. Recent editions have paired the Americas Food and Beverage Show with Food Hospitality LATAM, expanding the floor and pulling in additional exhibitors and attendees.

This year’s anniversary edition arrives at a moment of heightened attention to supply chains. Tariff volatility and shifting trade rules have pushed many food companies to rethink sourcing strategies.

A show built around exactly those connections could not be better timed.
