Attendees at Sweets & Snacks Expo 2023, taking place May 22-25 at McCormick Place in Chicago, will have more opportunities than ever to learn about key trends affecting the performance of the confectionery and snacks category, the retail environment and consumer attitudes and behaviors.
Hosted by the National Confectioners Association, the event provides excellent opportunities for more than 16,000 attendees in the confectionery and snacking industries.
Returning this year is the Supplier Showcase, a marketplace dedicated to helping suppliers in the candy and snack industries highlight ingredients, machinery, packaging, and other services that help manufacturers address changing consumer needs and wants, as well as Startup Street, a showcase for new candy and snack business owners.
Sweets & Snacks Expo 2023 will feature new educational programming and run throughout the event on three stages on the McCormick Place show floor.

“The Sweets & Snacks Expo offers the opportunity to stay ahead of the rapidly changing retail landscape through top-notch educational sessions to gain insight, stay informed, and get inspired,” said John Downs, president and CEO of the National Confectioners Association, the Expo’s host organization.
“Thought leaders and professionals guide the educational sessions from across the industry with expertise on a wide range of topics, including product and flavor trends, marketing strategies and innovation, sustainability, and e-commerce. These sessions focus on relevant issues and opportunities facing our industry to help you grow your business,” Downs added.
Attendees will have about 40 educational sessions to choose from during the Sweets & Snacks Expo. The breakdown of programming is as follows:
Beginning before the show floor opens, these educational sessions will feature ideas for early risers looking to boost learning and connections for the day.
Attendees will learn the latest data and insights shared by industry leaders on the confectionery and snack categories.
For attendees interested in the latest industry trends, the Innovation Stage will feature the latest and greatest innovations in confectionery, snacks, and more.
With a focus on retail and shopper trends, attendees will learn how to manage the checkout section and evolving store front-end in the Inspiration Stage.

Registration to attend the Sweets & Snacks Expo and access exclusive trade show educational sessions will remain open throughout the event.
In 2024, Sweets & Snacks Expo will have a two-year cycle at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, followed by one year at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas through 2032.
