Stor.ai Partners with Vallarta Supermarkets to Optimize its eCommerce Platform

Stor.ai, a digital commerce solutions business for supermarkets, announced its partnership with Vallarta Supermarkets to deploy its eCommerce platform in its stores.

The Hispanic supermarket chain, based in Southern California, will use Stor.ai’s eCommerce and picking platform to support its stores in deploying advanced online shopping, delivery, and fulfillment solutions, the company said in a press release.

Online grocery shopping has grown exponentially in recent years, but retailers are still grappling with the question of how to deliver cost-effective and profitable eCommerce to keep pace with customer expectations. To respond to today’s rapidly evolving eCommerce landscape, Stor.ai said it is helping retailers keep up with customer demand and offer a wide range of digital services while preserving their unique brand identities, customer data, and margins.

Vallarta Supermarkets identified the need for advanced, customer-friendly online solutions that enable stores to maximize eCommerce profitability in an increasingly competitive digital marketplace, and we felt our product offering was a perfect fit for their needs. I am delighted to welcome such an important retailer as Vallarta to the Stor.ai family and look forward to our relationship flourishing in the future,” said Charlie Ward Wright, president of Stor.ai in North America.

The partnership with the Hispanic grocery chain aims to ensure the retailer can provide the online services customers want and need while mitigating the risks of relying solely on third-party eCommerce providers.

“We have been searching extensively for an eCommerce provider capable of meeting customer expectations without eroding the profitability of our picking, fulfillment, and delivery operations,” said Steve Netherton, CIO, Vallarta Supermarkets. “By partnering with Stor.ai, we hope to raise our eCommerce performance to the next level while ensuring that customers enjoy a true Vallarta experience, whether they shop online or in-store.”

Previously, online grocery shopping had developed separately from the in-store experience, resulting in a fractured shopping experience characterized by disparate digital touchpoints.

Understanding those difficulties, Stor.ai’s mission has been to help supermarkets’ digital transformation needs by combining digital customer engagement across all touchpoints on a single platform, maintaining ownership of their data, brand, and customer loyalty in the new digital age.
