C&S Wholesale Grocers Becomes Primary Supplier for Sedano’s Supermarkets

C&S Wholesale Grocers has signed a new supply agreement that names it the primary supplier for Sedano’s Supermarkets, Florida’s leading Hispanic grocery retailer.

As a result, C&S will support 32 Sedano’s Supermarkets locations with a wide-ranging assortment of products and services. Those services include distribution, transportation, procurement, merchandising, and retail support.

Supporting Sedano’s Supermarkets’ Growth

The partnership reinforces Sedano’s Supermarkets’ focus on serving Hispanic consumers with culturally relevant products and consistent in-store execution.

Eric Winn, chief executive officer of C&S Wholesale Grocers, said Sedano’s Supermarkets plays a vital role in Florida’s grocery landscape.

“We’re excited for our partnership with Sedano’s Supermarkets — a grocer that has been at the heart of the Hispanic community for more than six decades,” Winn said. “The Southeast continues to be an important driver for our long-term growth.”

Similarly, Sedano’s leadership highlighted the operational advantages of the agreement.

“Our stores provide an unparalleled assortment for our shoppers, and we look forward to C&S’s partnership in helping us deliver a quality shopping experience,” said Agustin Herran, CEO of Sedano’s Supermarkets.

Sedano’s Supermarkets Anchors Southeast Strategy

The agreement fits into a broader expansion strategy as C&S strengthens its presence in the Southeast. Over the past year, the company has made several high-profile investments to build scale and improve supply chain efficiency across the region.

Notably, C&S joined a private investor consortium to acquire The Winn-Dixie Company from ALDI U.S. The move aimed to reinforce the Southeast distribution network supporting retailers such as Sedano’s Supermarkets.

In addition, C&S moved to acquire SpartanNash’s Lumberton, North Carolina, distribution center. That transaction preceded C&S’s acquisition of SpartanNash, significantly expanding its wholesale and retail footprint.

Meanwhile, C&S also partnered with Atlantic Grocery Supply to provide wholesale solutions to retailers in the Caribbean, Central America, and South America, while supporting Florida-based independent grocers.

Workforce and Execution Remain Central

As C&S expands, company leadership continues to emphasize execution and talent as competitive advantages. Winn said employees play a critical role as the company scales partnerships like Sedano’s Supermarkets.

“As C&S transforms and expands in the Southeast, our team members are our competitive edge,” he said. “This is an exciting opportunity to continue driving our legacy of braggingly happy customers.”
