Cardenas Markets Promotes Veronica Jimenez to VP of Real Estate and Construction

Cardenas Markets announced the promotion of Veronica Jimenez to the position of Vice President of Real Estate and Construction.

In this role, Jimenez will report directly to Prabash Coswatte, Chief Operating Officer for Cardenas Markets, and will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company’s real estate, construction, and maintenance departments.

“Veronica possesses an in-depth understanding of commercial real estate and construction in addition to a unique ability to provide architectural support and interior design expertise,” said Coswatte. “She is an exceptional and dynamic leader dedicated to growing the next generation of Cardenas Markets,” Coswatte added.

Jimenez joined Cardenas Markets as a consultant in 2019 and was named Director of Construction in 2021.

Prior to joining Cardenas Markets, Jimenez served as president of VJ Casa, a boutique Interior Design and Architectural firm focused on commercial spaces both nationally and internationally. In this capacity, she provided interior design and architectural support for two major Southern California supermarket chains. She also served as Director of Design for HPA Architecture, and Senior Project Designer for Del Mar Lighting and Architectural Design in Downey CA.

Jimenez attended Brooks College where she received a degree in Interior Design and Architecture.

A few months ago, Cardenas Markets promoted Arnold Perez to the position of Vice President of Information Technology to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company’s Information Technology team.

“Arnold brings to his new role extensive experience in leading and executing IT strategies across a variety of business sectors,” said Prabash Coswatte. “His experience and leadership will continue to drive Cardenas Markets’ digital transformation and innovation to support our company’s business needs, as well as evolving customer buying preferences,” Coswatte added.

Perez joined Cardenas Markets in 2019, bringing more than 20 years of IT leadership experience focused on infrastructure engineering, project management and operations across various industries, including Fashion Retail, Banking, Media and Entertainment, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Petroleum, the Hispanic grocery retailer said in a press release.
