The Fresh Market announced the opening of its two newest stores in Crofton, Maryland, and Lincoln Park, Chicago.
The specialty food retailer’s new location in Lincoln Park marks its first store in Chicago.
According to the retailer, with a convenient location at 2730 N. Halstead Street, the 17,000 sq. foot food store aims to be a place where the community can convene and experience a delicious shopping journey.
“We are so excited to be a part of the community here in Lincoln Park,” said Jason Potter, CEO of The Fresh Market. “It’s not just a store to pick up your groceries, but a place where people can meet up with friends and family to enjoy delicious, fresh food.”

The first 500 guests received a customized Lincoln Park shopping bag to celebrate the grand opening. In addition, a “bread breaking” ceremony, vendor sampling, specialty presentations, giveaways, live music performed, and a check presentation of $2,000 to the Greater Chicago Food Depository was held to welcome Lincoln Park guests to The Fresh Market officially.
With a consummate sensory experience and the cache of fresh and specialty products The Fresh Market is known for, Lincoln Park offers restaurant meals that can be enjoyed both in-store or taken home after shopping.
The Fresh Market Opened its Fifth Store in Maryland
The Fresh Market’s latest store in Crofton, MD, marks the specialty food retailer’s fifth in Maryland. Currently, the supermarket chain operates 163 stores in 22 states across the U.S.
The new 27,000 sq. foot food store is located at 1153 State Rt. 3N.
The doors opened on October 30, 2024, offering guests an extensive range of fresh produce, premium meats, seafood, bakery items, and products sourced globally and locally.
