Mariachi music, the aroma of fresh tortillas, and lines of eager shoppers will set the tone as the Vallarta Supermarkets Rancho Cucamonga store opens April 1. The highly anticipated launch brings a vibrant, food-driven experience to the Inland Empire, blending celebration with the chain’s continued expansion into key communities.
The store, located at 9040 Foothill Blvd. in Rancho Cucamonga, California, will debut with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The 60,000-square-foot store marks Vallarta’s second opening of 2026, hot on the heels of the chain’s historic Arizona debut. It also becomes the sixth Vallarta location to serve the Inland Empire.
The New Rancho Cucamonga Store Debut Everyone is Talking About
No detail about this opening generates more buzz than Costa de Oro, Vallarta’s brand-new in-store seafood restaurant concept making its world debut in Rancho Cucamonga. This first-of-its-kind department turns a routine grocery run into a full dining experience.
Costa de Oro serves made-to-order favorites, including fresh seafood tostadas and shrimp tacos crafted on the spot. Vallarta plans to roll out the concept across all future locations, making Rancho Cucamonga the trailblazer for what comes next.
That distinction alone sets this opening apart from anything the chain has done before in its 40-year history.

Every Aisle Delivers Something Worth Discovering
Step inside and the store immediately immerses shoppers in authentic Latin culture, flavor, and color. Vallarta Supermarkets Rancho Cucamonga brings every beloved signature department together under one roof, plus a few surprises.
The Carnicería anchors the store with Vallarta’s legendary Original Carne Asada, marinated in-house-crafted spices and sliced fresh daily. Right alongside it, the Cremería showcases traditional cheeses like queso fresco and cotija, while the Pescadería and in-house Cevichería supply ocean-fresh seafood and aguachiles.
In the Panadería, bakers craft warm corn and flour tortillas from scratch each morning, alongside hand-decorated cakes and freshly baked pan dulce. Throughout the day, staff also prepare fresh ceviches in small batches, ensuring peak quality at every hour.
Hungry shoppers can enjoy La Cocina for hot, ready-to-eat meals rooted in the kitchens of Mexico and Central America. Those craving something refreshing can build a custom guacamole order, sip aguas frescas, or grab a fruit bowl loaded with Tajín and chamoy.
The store also offers hand-rolled sushi, fresh-pressed juices, and a broad selection of organic produce sourced both locally and worldwide. To close out the visit, the Dulcería tempts shoppers with candies, piñatas, and everything needed to make any occasion feel like a celebration.
Vallarta Puts Rancho Cucamonga Families First
This opening delivers far more than fresh groceries to Rancho Cucamonga. The new location creates 219 jobs for local residents, injecting meaningful employment into the community from day one.
As part of its grand opening festivities, Vallarta donates $7,500 to five local schools and charitable organizations. Furthermore, the first 300 customers through the doors receive reusable grocery bags filled with premium Vallarta products and a warm welcome from a brand that leads with generosity.
“We’re proud to open our doors as Rancho Cucamonga’s neighborhood store,” said Wendy Rubiano, Director of Marketing at Vallarta Supermarkets. “Our focus remains on opening stores that prioritize fresh, authentic food and meaningful community engagement.”
40 Years Strong and Still Growing
The Rancho Cucamonga store builds directly on the success of Vallarta’s Colton location, which opened in May 2025 and quickly became a community staple. That momentum now carries into the Inland Empire’s newest destination for Latin grocery shopping.
Founded in 1985, Vallarta now operates 64 stores across California and Arizona, supported by more than 9,000 team members. Each new location reflects the same promise the brand made four decades ago: fresh food, authentic flavors, and a deep investment in the neighborhoods it serves.
Shoppers who prefer delivery can access Vallarta’s full lineup through DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Instacart. From organic produce to La Cocina’s ready-to-eat carnitas tacos, Vallarta brings the experience straight to the front door.
