Met Fresh Supermarket expands into Ridgewood, NY

Danny Hamdan and Associated Supermarket Group (ASG) announced the upcoming opening of a new store in Ridgewood, Queens. This marks Danny Hamdan’s fourth grocery venture and the Hamdan family’s eighth with ASG.

Met Fresh Supermarket of Ridgewood, located at 6709 Fresh Pond Road in Queens, will open on Friday, May 24th, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m.

Nestled in eastern Ridgewood, just a couple of steps away from the Fresh Pond Road M train station, this Met Fresh supermarket spans an impressive 8,000 square feet.

With a prime location in the bustling business corridor of Ridgewood, Met Fresh will add more vibrancy to one of New York City’s hottest neighborhoods.

“Met Fresh will be an elevated shopping experience,” said Hamdan. “It’s what Ridgewood needed, a modern supermarket experience with competitive pricing and convenience directly from the train, as well as for those who drive because we have a parking lot behind the store,” he added.

The new Ridgewood store will create 30 new employment opportunities, hiring from the surrounding area.

Met Fresh Market is a One-Stop Shopping Destination

The grand opening celebration will begin on Friday with members of local associations, Met Fresh suppliers, and civic leaders in attendance and the festivities will continue through the weekend.

The supermarket will offer a wide array of traditional, natural, organic, and gourmet groceries, frozen food, and dairy products, providing a one-stop shopping destination.

Met Fresh Supermarket of Ridgewood will also offer in-store pick-up and at-home delivery service via or other online platforms for added convenience.

This range in product assortment is made possible through its supplier, ASG, a premier retail services supplier committed to providing the scale independent supermarkets need to compete.
