Martha Stewart Invites You to Join Her for Thanksgiving Dinner

Martha Stewart, the woman that built her empire on everything “homemade” has yet again found a way to add her twist to a special meal, this time it’s Thanksgiving.

Martha & Marley Spoon, the meal kit delivery service, created by her and Sequential Brands Group in early June 2016, announced that it will now feature a “Thanksgiving box” that will be sure to include Martha Stewart’s favorite Thanksgiving recipes. In the kit will be enough ingredients to serve a full Thanksgiving dinner for eight to ten people (with a 12-14-pound free-range turkey included).

After much deliberation, some of Stewart’s favorite recipes included in the box will be recipes for: Classic Stuffing with Dried Cherries, Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Brussel Sprouts, and Brown Butter Apple Pie.

These boxes will not have pre-prepared ingredients such as pre-cut vegetables or “stuffing mix”. The Martha & Marley Spoon meal kit will include full loaves of bread and crisp vegetables that will have to be cut and cooked/baked by the consumer.

In a press event, Stewart said “It will certainly simplify the preparation of Thanksgiving dinner for the family and guests. I usually have about 40 people for Thanksgiving, so I’m going to buy six kits,”. She added, “I’m going to be cooking from the kit this year.”

The holiday meal kit (with turkey included) will be sold for $179 but customers will also be given the option to purchase a meal kit that only includes the side dishes for $119.

For this special meal kit, customers do not need to subscribe to the Martha & Marley Spoon service and are able to make a one-time purchase for the holidays.

Customers can place their orders with Martha & Marley Spoon until November 15. The turkey is expected to come frozen the Saturday before Thanksgiving and the rest of the side dishes are planned to come separately on the following Tuesday or Wednesday to guarantee fresh ingredients for a delicious Thanksgiving dinner.
