From the start of his tenure, Crespo pushed quality and food safety as the foundation of the industry’s competitiveness abroad. His reelection signals a commitment to keep the sector advancing and expanding its global footprint.
A Leader with Deep Industry Roots
Crespo brings extensive experience in Mexico’s mango industry. He holds a degree in Public Accounting and Finance from the Tecnológico de Monterrey and is the youngest of four siblings involved in Grupo Crespo. This family business integrates mango production, export, transportation, and distribution. His background offers a comprehensive understanding of the challenges facing the entire supply chain.
He will continue working alongside Iván Bajarás as secretary and Raúl Arcos Lozano as treasurer. Together, the leadership team shares a clear vision for strengthening the sector.
Global Expansion Remains a Priority
Furthermore, Crespo affirmed that he would continue to drive the internationalization of Mexican mangoes. He highlighted EMEX’s institutional commitment to promoting quality and food safety—two pillars that define the industry’s reputation in international markets.
Mexico remains the world’s leading mango exporter, with production across 23 states. This broad reach enables the industry to ensure consistent availability and meet growing consumer demand by offering a diverse range of mango varieties.
