The growth of Presidente Supermarkets in Florida continues to gain momentum as the company announces the opening of a new store in Clewiston. The chain, recognized as one of the largest in the state, strengthens its presence in Florida and its commitment to the community.
The Miami-based company will open the store in mid-2026 inside Clewiston Town Center, at 328 East Sugarland Highway. The 36,900-square-foot location will include a café and create about 80 jobs. It will also reinforce the company’s footprint in Central Florida, a region where Hispanic consumer demand continues to rise.
Strategic Opening and Job Creation
Omar Rodríguez, owner and founder of Presidente Supermarkets, highlighted the significance of this project: “This new store reaffirms our commitment to continue expanding the Presidente Supermarket brand throughout Florida.” His message underscores the company’s goal of continuing to invest in the region, generating jobs, and supporting economic development.
As part of this strategy, the chain is also preparing Presidente #62, a 26,000-square-foot store in Miami Gardens. That supermarket will open in December 2025 and employ around 80 people. The company has linked two significant projects in less than 2 years, showing the growth pace it aims to maintain.
This push adds to the early-2025 opening of its fourth store in Hialeah. With each new location, Presidente strengthens its mission to serve the Hispanic community by offering a broad assortment, competitive prices, and stores in high-demand areas.

More Than Three Decades of Steady Growth
Founded more than 30 years ago, Presidente Supermarkets has maintained consistent growth. Today, it operates dozens of stores across Florida and employs thousands of people. Its expansion has been supported by Bravo & Partners Realty, represented by Neyda Bravo and Luis González, who have led the company’s real estate strategy.
The expansion of the Hispanic supermarket chain in Florida means more than additional stores; it also brings more jobs and opportunities for local suppliers. The openings in Clewiston and Miami Gardens confirm the company’s commitment to a model that blends community engagement with economic development.
With these moves, Presidente Supermarkets positions itself as a brand that understands the needs of Hispanic consumers. Its vision for the coming years is clear: continue growing and solidify its position as a market leader.
