The NGA Show 2025, held on February 23-25 at Caesars Forum Convention Center Las Vegas, featured over 340 exhibitors and 50 educational sessions for independent grocery professionals.
Sponsored by the National Grocers Association (NGA) and produced by Clarion Events Inc., the show offered networking and innovation exploration in partnership with the Independent Grocers Alliance (IGA). The NGA represents the independent grocery sector, a significant economic force, while IGA, a global network, supports independent grocers. The NGA Show is a key event for industry growth.
“This is our largest show we’ve ever had: 3,700 attendees. Close to half of those are retailers and wholesalers. Our retailer numbers are up over 12% over previous years, and they’re probably higher than that because those numbers I got a couple of days ago”, said Greg Ferrara, President and CEO of the National Grocers Association (NGA), in an exclusive interview with Abasto Media during the last day of the Show.
“It’s the largest show floor we’ve ever had. We have expanded it to the full Caesars Forum Convention Center and the feedback that I have gotten, particularly from the retailers and wholesalers, has been nothing but positive. We want to continue to provide that value and support the industry, bring the industry together”.
Highlights of the Trade Show
The NGA Show 2025 delivered an unexpectedly electrifying experience, punctuated by several standout moments that truly resonated with the industry. A major highlight was the keynote address by retired Admiral William McRaven, which drew overwhelming praise from attendees. His compelling insights on leadership, extending beyond business strategies to life lessons, left a profound impact. Additionally, the show featured a series of highly successful sessions, notably a panel discussion with women graduates from the next generation program. This session, focused on sharing diverse perspectives, epitomized the show’s core mission: to foster growth, encourage learning, and challenge participants to improve their businesses and themselves, ultimately propelling the industry forward.

The final session of the NGA Show 2025 was “Insights from Industry Legends: Leadership and Innovation in Grocery”, where John Ross, President and CEO at IGA, had a rare conversation with leaders from the industry. Ross talked with Norman Mayne, CEO of Dorothy Lane Market in Ohio; Lauren Redman, President and CEO of Rudy’s Markets in Oregon; and Trig Solberg, Founder of S.A. Solberg in Wisconsin. The three legends shared with the audience their story with groceries, advice for the news generations and how good listeners they are.
Ross said that Redman’s store has pictures of their colleagues (as she preferred to call the associates) all over the facility because they are the main reason the business keeps going.
The NGA Show 2026 and 2027
The NGA Show already has set the dates for the 2026 and 2027 editions.
“We can’t wait to our show in 2026, February 1st through the 3rd. We’re moving locations over to The MGM Grand Hotel. It’s going to be even a bigger space. Everyone will be in the same hotel and able to take advantage all the food and beverage and entertainment and shopping that happens in that property, which is just what makes this show awesome”, said Greg Ferrara, President and CEO of National Grocers Association (NGA).
For the NGA Show 2027, the dates will be January 31-February 2 at the MGM Grand Conference Center, Las Vegas, Nevada.
