Summer Fancy Food Show, top products from the Specialty Food Industry

Everything is ready for the Summer Fancy Food Show, the largest Specialty Food and Beverage Event in North America. It is considered an ideal platform for companies to introduce specialty food and beverage products into the $88 billion market. The trade show, to be held from June 29 to July 1 in New York City, will bring a total of 2,400 exhibitors from 80 countries and regions. It will showcase over 180,000 products in different categories including confectionery, cheese, coffee, snacks, spices, ethnic, natural, organic, beverages and many other products.

According to Chris Nemchek, Vice President of Business Development and Member Relations of the Specialty Food Association, both buyers and sellers of specialty foods consider this to be an important event because there will be thousands of products on display from around the world being introduced to a large number of buyers from around the world. It is estimated that the Summer Fancy Food Show will be attended by about 25,000 visitors from department stores, supermarkets, restaurants and other food and beverage related businesses.

The event will also boast a large number of Hispanic businesses that will present the most exclusive products from Latin America. “We have an extraordinary participation by Hispanic businesses that are in the United States as well as exhibitors from other countries, such as Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Chile and Colombia who are participating for the first time at the Fancy Food Show,” said Nemcheck who explained that from of all the exhibitors at the trade show, 15% are Hispanic.

At the international pavilion you will find products from all over the world. From Chinese delicacies to a variety of fine Italian olive oils to the most selected spices from India. The International pavilion is poised to impress even the most seasoned food and beverage vendors. Nonetheless, the presence of Latin American companies will account for approximately 40% of international exhibitors. “Many buyers want to see what the latest market trends are and where the products are coming from, within Latin America,” said Nemcheck.

Also, the 42nd Annual sofi™ Awards will be awarded during the Summer Fancy Food Show for outstanding foods and beverages from members of the Specialty Food Association. The awards recognize culinary innovation throughout the United States and around the world. The winners are selected by retailers and food industry buyers attending the Summer Fancy Food Show.
