Raley’s CEO Mike Teel officially reclaims the top spot at The Raley’s Companies following the departure of President & CEO Keith Knopf, who guided the regional grocery brand for 11 years. The leadership shift marks a defining moment for one of the West Coast’s most respected grocery chains.
Knopf Leaves Behind a Lasting Legacy
Knopf exits the company having reshaped it from the ground up. Under his leadership, Raley’s doubled in size through strategic acquisitions and developed industry-leading eCommerce and digital capabilities.
He also transformed the company’s loyalty program into a meaningful, customer-first platform. Furthermore, he modernized Raley’s supply chain to meet the demands of today’s fast-moving retail environment.
“Serving as President & CEO has been an immense privilege,” Knopf said. “I remain deeply proud of what our team accomplished together.”
Teel Returns With Purpose and Confidence
Teel previously held the CEO role before Knopf joined the organization. Now, he steps back in with a clear vision and a proven team supporting him.
“He is leaving us with a strong, capable leadership team,” Teel said. “I am stepping back into this role with confidence in the people and the foundation.”
His return signals continuity rather than disruption. Raley’s CEO Mike Teel keeps his focus firmly on customers, team members, and the communities the company proudly serves.

Two Power Promotions Anchor the New Structure
Teel doesn’t return alone. The Raley’s Companies simultaneously elevated two seasoned executives into expanded president-level roles, building a stronger leadership bench for the road ahead.
Tiffanie Burkhalter advances to President & Chief Financial Officer. She has served as CFO since 2023 and brings sharp financial acumen alongside broad operational experience to her expanded role.
Jen Warner steps into the role of President & Chief Operations Officer. Warner joined Raley’s in 2020 and became a driving force behind the company’s long-range strategic plan. She previously served as Chief Growth & Transformation Officer and brings executive experience from multiple multinational public companies.
Together, Burkhalter and Warner give Teel a formidable leadership structure as the company enters its next chapter.
A Grocer Built on Community, Focused on the Future
The Raley’s Companies operates several well-known banners across California and Nevada, including Raley’s, Bel Air Markets, Nob Hill Foods, and Raley’s O-N-E Market.
The return of a founder-family leader at the helm reinforces the company’s community-driven identity. With Burkhalter managing financial strategy and Warner leading operations, the organization moves forward with both stability and momentum.
