El Super, a California-based chain of Hispanic-focused supermarkets, is expanding in Los Angeles. The new store will open in Bell Gardens, California, on July 17.
According to the grocery chain, the new 41,000-square-foot supermarket at 7102 Eastern Avenue will offer customers exceptional quality, variety, and value at the lowest possible prices for preparing meals at home.
The new supermarket will offer shoppers a wide assortment of grocery products from Latin America and household favorites.
An extensive in-house bakery with freshly made pastries, bread, and tortillas is complemented by full-service meat and seafood departments featuring the best cuts of meat, pork, poultry, fresh fish, shellfish, and specialty items at great value and quality.
El Super is Expanding in Greater Los Angeles
This opening marks the 16th store in the Greater Los Angeles area and the second new El Super of the year, following the brand’s last opening in San Ysidro, Calif.
Approximately 125 positions have been filled to staff the new store fully.

- A full-service Meat department featuring a wide selection of tender beef, pork, and chicken at value prices and expert butchers ready to assist customers in finding the perfect cut of meat.
- A Deli Cheese counter stocked with salsas, handcrafted ceviches, and agua chiles prepared fresh daily, and a wide selection of bulk and prepackaged meats, sausages, and cheeses.
- A quick-service restaurant where customers can enjoy a variety of flavorful, familiar dishes, snacks, and treats made right in-store with ingredients sourced daily.

In celebration of the opening, El Super will present two $3,000 donations to the Human Services Association, a Bell Gardens-based nonprofit agency that provides families with compassionate and comprehensive care, and the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation, which seeks to improve the socio-economic well-being of the greater Latino community in Los Angeles through social, education, and senior lifestyle programs.
Donations are part of El Super’s commitment to supporting organizations and causes in its communities.
