The Mexican Association of Mango Exporters (Emex) is organizing the 4th International Congress of Mango, which will be attended by mango professionals worldwide.
This event has generated significant excitement among this fruit’s producers, exporters, and enthusiasts. It will occur on November 21st and 22nd at the Fiesta Americana Hotel in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
Mexico: A Global Export Leader
The Fourth International Mango Producers and Exporters Congress has solidified its position as a true benchmark, given Mexico’s leading role in mango exports and its fifth-place ranking in global production. The first congress of its kind in Mexico took place in 2017.
“We believed it was necessary to share the industry’s trends, as well as innovations and market demands, to strengthen the work we must do in the industry to maintain international competitiveness. We aimed to hold it every two years to share up-to-date and cutting-edge information that would add value to exporters,” said Myrna Castro, General Manager of EMEX, in an interview with Abasto Media.
Mexico is the world’s leading mango exporter, making it a global reference point for what has been achieved and strengthened in the industry, especially in the last five years, and where it is headed in the coming years, continuously integrating projection and innovation.
Guadalajara will host this event for the first time. The first two editions were held in a coastal city, and the third was virtual due to the pandemic.
“It has been five years since our last in-person edition, so we expect an attendance of between 500 and 550 producers and exporters who can update themselves and carry out high-value transactions with our commercial guests,” said Castro.
